  First, I'll concede that visits to Dr. Boas often take a lot more time than it seems they should. There is a lot of waiting and staring at the walls involved. But it still beats driving into a big hospital complex to get the same tests done. The doc seems to know his stuff and part of the reason they seem to take so long is that he spends time with each patient/family to discuss the situation and plan a course of action. His assistants seem knowledgeable and the rest of the staff is usually pretty nice, especially if you're nice to them too. I suspect they need new scheduling software, because it can take a ridiculously long time for them to even figure out what time slots are available. The last time we were in there they were working on some kind of new software package, so maybe that has a scheduling tool built in. Regardless, there's usually a 4-6 week wait for an appointment, so plan ahead! All in all, there are good people here who are trying to do a good job but seem to have some institutional hurdles they have to overcome on a daily basis. Would still recommend.

  We love Dr. Boas and staff. We find that he/they listen to our concerns and addresses each one. Dr. Boas looks at the big picture when treating my son and considers all options. We found Dr. Boas on our own and he was one of four choices that are in network for our insurance. Our PCP had never worked with him before. Immediately after leaving the office from our initial visit he got on the phone with our PCP to discuss our son's issues. Our PCP now speaks very highly of Dr. Boas. There are some negatives but they are minimal in my opinion. 1. I also have not had great experiences with the front office staff but feel that the clinical staff more than make up for it. 2. The Naperville satellite location is actually the office for another provider group, so it was difficult to find where to go. 3. The phone number is only for their main location so there is no way to get in touch with the staff when they are at a satellite location.
